What Your Personal Style Says About Your Brand

Your Personal Style Gives Your Client Insight Into Who You Are.

As an entrepreneur, blogger, author, or influencer of any kind, your personal style says a lot to your market about who you are. It’s a representation of how you choose to show up and express yourself in the world. And, while running your own business requires hard work and focus, crafting your personal style to reinforce the brand you’ve created is important. ‘You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at forty, and irresistible for the rest of your life,’ so said Coco Chanel. A line of poetry every women who marvels at her life, and the possibilities inherent to her gushes at. As an entrepreneur,  I’m always seeking authenticity in everything I do, and my style is no different. I love dressing for my mood and usually opt for simplicity, interwoven with hint of something unpredictable. So with the season offering so many fabulous cuts, colors, and fabrics for a girl to choose from, my reflective spirit  this time of the year, and hectic schedule led  me towards softer fabrics in basic cuts. As habit would have it, I found myself back to my tried-and true, neutrals, denim, and of course, a dab or two of leopard.

I absolutely adored the rich holiday hues and felt inspired by the lushness of the season.

If I never see another ugly holiday sweater it’ll be one too much. I know, ‘bah humbug’, it’s just not for me. So what am I rocking? With the cut-out trend being far from new, it’s my  must-have for the month. I invested in both an ivory and black, chunky cut-out sweater and I can’t get enough of either of them. Karen Millen, one of my favorite boutiques, offered a modern twist to their traditional chunky sweater, and made a gorgeous ivory one that is a multi-season keeper. It’s E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G: it’s fitted and flattering, it’s warm, it’s chic, and ultra comfy. Below twenty degree days have left me once again finding myself in jeans three to four times a week. Luckily the chunky cut-outs look amazing with denim, and just about any pair goes. I found a pair of high-waisted, flat fronts with cute frontal pockets hiding in my closet + they compliment the ivory sweater perfectly. With the sweater falling right below the waist, the high-waist denim does a great job accentuating my natural waist.

As a girl true to her personal style, I opted to rock my staple leopard print pumps, a ‘fav’ leopard clutch; and yes, a pair of leopard accent sunnies! Yes, it’s been raining leopard, and I’m loving every moment of it. I opted for a true red, matte lip, and threw on my favorite gold and ivory chandelier earrings and called it a day.

What’s your personal style staple and what are look are you obsessed with these days?
