My Houston Get Away Includes Super Bowl 51.

Like you, I look forward to certain opportunities to step away from my daily grind of running my business to let my hair down (literally), and enjoy lots of laughs and an ole’ fashion good time with my dear friends.  Right now, I’m in the moment for my Houston get away to check out Super Bowl 51.  I love to travel and while I do it often, my Houston Get Away feels a little extra special for a few reasons.  First, I’ve only been to Houston a few times and during each trip I’ve felt a sense of familiarity that gave me that right at home vibe. Arriving into Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport hype for Super Bowl 51 going down between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots felt no different.  Touching down yesterday afternoon, I could sense a heightened aura of excitement throughout Houston that matched my own emotions. People had begun gathering in their groups, blasting their music, celebrating and having a fabulous time. Having unexpectedly working a half day before boarding the 737 from Chicago, I was even more still filled with energy and pumped to get away. Upon my much anticipated arrival and checking into the Westin Oaks Houston at The Galleria, I  headed over to a festive dinner with my hubby at Del Frisco’s downstairs.

While the momentum around Super Bowl celebrates the highest level of accomplishment between the best teams in America, the events are always star studded, and thus very fashion-forward. A girl’s style has to be on point and a big part of enjoying myself is looking and feeling good- regardless to where I am or what I’m doing

During My Houston Get Away- I’ll Be Rocking All Things Gray.

My plan for the weekend  Houston  get away  includes a little shopping at The Galleria, one of my favorite shopping spots in the states. A Falcons day party, my client Wade Ford is sponsoring; a fundraiser event; a Saturday night party; and the big game. On game day, while most people will be fitted down in paraphernalia of their team you’ll find me in head to toe gray. No real method behind how I’ll be styled this Sunday other than my personal style is all about being comfortable. Plus, I’m in complete love with a few fashionable finds from this season. There’s a beautiful, gray wool and cashmere blend Karen Millen piece with a matching soft-structured Italian wool felt hat from Club Monaco. I’ll be rocking them with a plush- gray cashmere hoodie from Banana Republic. I confess, I’m absolutely in love with this coat, it’s everything a winter coat should be: buttoned tabs at the cuffs, seed-stitched wide notch collar, and patch pockets. The coat epitomizes modern elegance and I adore the look with the Gucci Dionysus chain-strap wallet I snagged in Charleston a few weeks ago.

As a denim girl, I’m going with a long-time favorite pair of tattered jeans that have been with me for a few years now. She’s earned her keep, and made her way to my top five favorite all time denim pieces. They’re a pair of 7 for all mankind skinny leg- distressed jeans.  To bring the look full circle, I’m capping it off with a pair of gray suede booties, gold Ray-Ban aviator glasses, and gold hoops.

As an entrepreneur schedule fun time, and make time to do things that revitalize and excite you. Super Bowl, Shopping, and visiting city of Houston, Texas does it for me. What fun get aways are you planning, And, what will you be rocking?
